About the Role
Facilitates and shares best practices for enhancing inclusivity, open exchange, and cultural competency while serving as a strategic partner to senior leaders to support DEI efforts in their areas, including diversity plans.
Serves as the point person for the Executive Committee, raising the visibility of the company's DEI efforts; clarifying goals and assessing progress; and providing expertise on issues of access, and DEI. Develops, reconstructs, and/or implement programs to build and maintain a representative and multicultural workforce, enhance our company's infrastructure of inclusivity and champion all dimensions of diversity across the enterprise.
Under the direction of the General Manager, works collaboratively across all areas of the business, leading cross functional colleagues responsible for designing and implementing a holistic program, including partnering with business leaders and external community partners that plays a central role in developing, driving, and communicating a holistic DEI approach aligned to the company's strategy, mission, and core values.
Builds creative diversity initiatives that demonstrate leadership as an innovator, convener, ambassador, collaborator, partner, and catalyst in mobilizing leaders around diversity goals. Uses an action-oriented approach to inclusion which focuses on redesigning organizational processes to circumvent bias with consistent, concerted action.
Serves as the Diversity Task Force leader as identified in our organizations diversity plan. Works to advance and monitor Team Member’s involvement and results in fulfilling the company’s Diversity and Inclusion Plan.
Collaborates with the Vice President of Finance and procurement team to identify and encourage the participation of minority, disadvantaged, and women-owned businesses.
Ensures the representations and participations of diverse groups in the ownership and operation of businesses that will serve the facility and provide goods and services to the facility.
Develops meaningful and appropriate metrics to measure success and gauge effectiveness of DEI initiatives. Works collaboratively with internal constituents across the company to assess, report, and make recommendations on corporate climate and diversity metrics. Utilizes assessment information to innovate programs and services.
Works collaboratively with the Training team to facilitate learning curriculum and instructional transformation that advances diversity and inclusion. Facilitates and develops professional development and training opportunities to promote diversity awareness and advocacy for the company.
Advocates for an organizational culture that is sensitive to a wide range of disciplines, interests, and constituencies represented while maintaining a deep commitment to diversity as part of the company's public ambition. Listens to and gives voice to emergent issues of DEI within the company and local communities, as it affects the company.
Perform other duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree in a relevant area plus seven to ten plus years of relevant experience, with at least five years in a strategic or operational leadership position.
Results-oriented, proven, and experienced leader and DEI champion with direct experience developing and implementing successful diversity, equity and inclusion strategies and programs for a major organization and across all organizational levels (Board, Executive, and Staff levels).
Proven leader of leaders and team member motivator. Demonstrates a proven ability in developing, communicating, and supporting corporate-level DEI goals and continuous improvement principles utilizing a systemic approach and data for decision-making.
Experience driving transformational or organizational change including the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and strategic plans with positive results. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple, simultaneous assignments and set appropriate priorities. Outstanding professionalism, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
High degree of problem solving and decision-making ability
