About the Role
The Director of Diversity, Equity and Inclusion reports to the Vice-President of Human Resources/Labor Relations and is responsible for developing and implementing a companywide strategy focused on supporting a more inclusive and diverse workplace culture.
Bachelor's Degree in business, Human Resources, or related field; and
Ten (10) years of progressive leadership experience in complex environments; experience in Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion, Workforce Planning, and/or Organizational Development preferred; and
Valid driver’s license

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Work with leadership to deliver on the company's long-term Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) commitment and initiatives by developing policies, programs, and practices to achieve Louisville
Water’s strategic business goals and pursuit of “Employer of Choice”.
Design, facilitate and execute a continuous multi-year business strategy that supports a high functioning culture that optimizes diversity in the workplace and fosters an inclusive environment for all.
Establishes DEI metrics, linking the defined strategies connecting to measurable and sustainable results.
Serve as a trusted partner and thought leader to all company employees (including senior management and employee CORE councils/resource groups) to enhance business performance by maintaining a culture focused on DEI efforts.
Leads various company DEI groups/committees (CORE Councils, Employee Resource Groups/ Affinity Committees) aligning the work of all groups to deliver on the company's vision of a diverse workforce and inclusive environment for all.
Assesses the impact of the company's people practices—recruitment, onboarding, development, and retention—on DEI and partner with the Human Resources to overcome obstacles to create a more diverse internal & external talent pool.
Partners with Learning & Development team to establish and/or facilitate DEI education sessions with management and staff.
Partner with the Communication’s Department to develop internal and external messaging highlighting the company's commitment and actions in the areas of DEI.
Builds external networking relationships to identify best practices and emerging ideation regarding DEI.
Monitor internal and external trends and serves as the subject matter expert regarding DEI throughout the organization.
