About the Role
The EDI Specialist will provide administrative and programmatic support to the EDI Director/CDO in the development and implementation of programs and services that promote institutional equity, diversity and inclusion . Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop, coordinate and facilitate diversity-related training sessions and workshops;
Maintain D&I webpage and coordinate marketing/communication efforts
Conduct research on specified topics, to include national and international diversity issues, administrative organizational structures, trends, and
Other EDI duties as assigned
Bachelor's degree and two years of experience in human resources or related field; or a high school diploma/equivalency and six years of experience in human resources or related field. (Note: Post-high school education and/or experience may substitute at the comparable rate.)
Experience as a trainer, corporate training specialist, or related position, including the development of content and course material.
Ability to develop and maintain online resources.
Strong presentation and interpersonal skills including ability to facilitate one-on-one, group and on-line training.
Knowledge of and experience in developing and implementing initiatives and programming with specific emphasis on facilitating diversity and inclusion learning.
Familiar with and adept in the principles and practices of equal opportunity and compliance.
Strong verbal and written communication skills . The ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment and collaborate productively in a team environment.
Experience working with diverse populations specific to race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, gender, ability and/or gender identity .
Experience with diversity, equity, and inclusion programs in a college/university setting.
A Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
