About the Role
Creating internal and external-facing presentations related to the firm’s diversity and inclusion efforts and milestones using a wide array of quantitative and qualitative data.
Displaying complex quantitative data in a simple, intuitive format and present findings in a clear and concise manner.
Supporting the submission of all external diversity and inclusion related client surveys, RFPs, and pitches.
Receiving, managing, coordinating, and collaborating in the completion and delivery of all external diversity and inclusion related surveys, awards, RFPs, and benchmarking submissions and related responses.
Collecting, analyzing, and reporting on statistical diversity data, including mining and management of a broad array of quantitative and qualitative data sets.
Collaborating with diversity team on client partnerships and communications.
Assisting in developing a plan to provide deliverables for internal and external diversity-related communications.
Partnering with the firm’s marketing team to assist in developing program marketing materials.
Building strategic relationships with external partners to expand and nurture programming opportunities and identify new opportunities for partnership.
Coordinating with the Chief Diversity Officer and Senior Diversity Manager of Programs on all aspects of planning and logistics for external and internal-facing firmwide events, including retreats, firmwide speaker series and other large-scale events.
Strong interpersonal skills to interact with attorneys and staff at all levels within a large, global law firm setting.
Strong experience with PowerPoint and with creating high quality, polished presentations.
Experience in collecting, reviewing and organizing data reporting and analysis, using data to tell a story and translating data into impactful reports, tables, graphs, and charts that can influence decisions.
Ability to collect, organize, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to consult with stakeholders and identify metrics and interpretation needed in deliverables .
Strong attention to detail and advanced organizational skills; effective at multi-tasking and handling multiple streams of work simultaneously.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including experience creating content for web and print-based publications.
Proactive self-starter who is able to self-manage and also work as part of a team, with the ability to work in a fast-paced, intellectually rigorous environment.
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
Demonstrated ability to deal with confidential and highly sensitive information .
Flexibility to adjust working hours when necessary to meet operation and business needs.
Flexibility to travel as needed. May include some evening and weekend work.
Bachelor’s Degree is required.
2-3 years of direct diversity and inclusion experience related to creating diversity-related presentations, completing client surveys, fostering client partnerships, and planning and executing large-scale diversity-related events is strongly preferred.
Demonstrated knowledge and passion for diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Experience working in a legal or other global professional services firm is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of diversity and inclusion topics in a global professional services setting is highly preferred.

Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, a premier international law firm with over 1,600 attorneys and 20 offices in major financial centers worldwide, seeks a Global Diversity Specialist for its growing Diversity and Inclusion team. The Global Diversity Specialist is responsible for supporting the Chief Diversity Officer and other members of the Diversity team, including the team’s Diversity Managers, in creating internal and external-facing diversity-related presentations and communications, completing client surveys and fostering client partnerships. In addition, this position will assist the team in planning, coordinating and executing large-scale diversity-related events.
