About the Role

We are looking for a dynamic manager to join our team. In this role, you will:

Support the DEI Strategic Alignment Director in operationalizing all programs and services coming out of the office of the Global DEI Officer
Support the development of new DEI products and systems
Lead the deployment of all DEI programs for sustainable positioning in the enterprise
Collaborate with DEI Strategic Alignment Director on department’s communications initiatives
Cultivate a supportive and inclusive work environment for all employees
Work directly with HR Analytics to manage the DEI dashboard for the system
Collaborate with DEI leadership team to ensure all programs and work streams are effectively aligned across the department
Work closely with the HR team to ensure that diversity agendas are successfully implemented and in line with businesses objectives
Principle Accountabilities

In addition to McDonald’s policies and procedures, principal accountabilities include, but are not limited to:

DEI Operations:

Supports DEI Strategic Alignment Director in operationalizing global DEI team products and services
Serves as ongoing management lead of the Mutual Commitment to DEI workstream – in partnership with the US Business Diversity Team
Acts as day-to-day contact for 25+ DEI strategic alliance partnerships, as we secure enriching workforce development opportunities for the employee base, identify and prepare selected McDonald’s leaders for speaking engagements, and coordinate participation in premier conferences across our partner tiers
Collaborates with ESG partners on build and submission of brand benchmarking surveys including McKinsey, Catalyst, HRC, and Bloomberg
Partners with DEI Education Director to launch and deploy system-wide DEI training
Leverages global DEI knowledge and insights to drive greater business impact
Tracks the progress of all global DEI initiatives and programs across the enterprise
Partners with HR to review the company’s workplace policies and procedures, ensuring that these are all inclusive
Ensures the organization follows appropriate legislation and employment law regulations around bias and inclusion
Relationship Building:

Benchmarks and tracks external trends with ability to transfer key insights to improve employees’ DEI experience
Recognizes, creates and implements plans to promote diversity, equity and inclusion across the organization
Connects with key partners for awareness of global and cultural issues/trends
Builds strong coalitions with strategic alliances and manage key relationships
Manages strategic alliances dashboard to update DEI leadership on progress and opportunities for workforce consideration
Point of contact for other departments on special projects associated with DEI
Communications:

Develops and promotes digital training platforms to enhance employees’ DEI education experience
Collaborates with corporate relations, global people communications, and supply chain teams to lead and align communications coming from the CDEI Officer and/or the respective global leadership teams
Drives impactful and significant engagement of all communications through strong digital and technology resources

Requirements

Qualifications

World-class project management and organizational skills with attention to detail
Strong digital competence
Strong communications skills and ability to influence others
Ability to stay current and focused on changing trends
Continuous learner
Must be fully vaccinated (i.e., at least 2 weeks after last dose) for COVID-19 and, if hired, present proof of vaccination by start date.
