Working with the Global Equity Office Team, Equity Center, and other professionals on the development of training, tools, and resources, particularly as these relate to equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility for both US domestic and international development.
Serving as a thought leader on area of expertise related to Global Abt projects.
Developing and managing specific equity center initiatives with limited oversight.
Coaching and reviewing work of junior staff.
Recommending operational strategies and plans with direct impact on results.
Influencing business decisions made by leadership.
Working on complex and multi-dimensional issues both organizationally and with clients
Developing and implementing new organizational products, processes, standards, or operational plans that will have an impact on the achievement of functional results.
Communicating with senior and executive leadership.

Background in social science areas such as health, housing, education, economic development
Bachelor's + Fifteen years of relevant experience, or Master's degree + twelve years of experience, or Ph.D. + ten years of relevant experience

This position offers an anticipated annual base salary range of approximately $185,000 to $242,000 and may vary by ten percent depending on candidate geographic location. Salary offers are made based on internal equity and market analysis.

The Chief Global Equity Officer's office is seeking a Principal Associate of Global Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) for the organization's equity, diversity, and programs. This position is designed to help lead and support the strategies and initiatives of Abt’s Global Equity Center and help establish and implement strategies meant to encourage and support an inclusive and diverse workforce. The Principal Associate of Global EDI will specifically work with the Global Equity Office Team, the Equity Center as well as other professionals, to design and support training and/or workshops for employees, manager, or executives detailing the impact of a diverse workforce on business operations. This position also serves as a thought partner to the Equity Center team to lead and help define frameworks of equity, particularly those that fall within the health equity, social determinants of health, and gender. The Principal Associate is part of the Senior Team that reports to and supports the Chief Global Equity Officer. This position is for a pre-eminent professional who is a thought leader in their area of expertise. The Principal Associate works with the Equity Center team to develop information which extends knowledge in equity, diversity, inclusion, and accessibility. The position affords an opportunity to plan and recommend programs, strategies, and initiatives to accomplish long-range objectives and is primarily self-supervisory. The Principal Associate is either hybrid or remote, with the expectation of travel as needed to headquarter and other offices.
Abt’s Global Equity Center is a hub and support for Abt staff to help support the centering of equity principles and practices into our research, evaluation and monitoring as well as our technical assistance and implementation. The Center is home to 12 staff of varying efforts and houses a variety of resources including but not limited to proposal and project consult and advisement, trainings, webinars, tools, and frameworks and language-ing, and exemplary projects.
