Create internal and external written materials such as press releases and executive messaging
Liaise across multiple departments and help set timelines and goals for the team
Support the management of external agencies and consultants
Help work with senior executives on updates and messaging
Develop strategy and execute PR plans across multiple DEI and industry relation activations
Track senior executive inclusion on industry lists and manage executive speaking opportunities
Source branding opportunity within the community and industry
Willingness to problem solve
Interest in Corporate Communications, DEI, Community Affairs, and Entertainment Industry Relations
Outstanding attention to detail, understanding of social issues and ability to communicate complex topics effectively
Deep knowledge of the entertainment industry/publicity
Excellent judgment, particularly in narrow time-frames
Willingness to work hard and roll up sleeves to get work done, even when at times it is outside the scope of the job
Solid judgement and the ability to respond quickly and experience in timely publicity matters

About the Company
Amazon Studios, the film and series production arm of Amazon.com that produces original content that is distributed on Amazon Prime Video and in theaters is seeking a highly-intelligent, discerning, self-motivated Publicity Principal to support the Head of Communications for the DEI, Community Affairs, and Industry Relations team. This is a new team and as one of the first members you will be helping build the group from the ground up. You must have a strong background in corporate communications, excellent writing skills, experience in the DEI, community and entertainment industry relations spaces and passionate about current affairs.
