About the Role
In this role a typical day may include:
Support execution of all DEI efforts in RGC with a focus on building effective DEI infrastructure in the RGC, establishing & achieving RGC DEI goals, and coordinating efforts that deliver against all 3 pillars of Better Workplace, Better Science and Better World in RGC.
Work a s a direct connection with the Corporate Office of Diversity and Inclusion to ensure enterprise-wide goals, metrics and programs are aligned and deployed systematically within RGC.
Responsible for helping to shape, communicate and sustain a respectful inclusive culture for RGC employees through partnership with RGC & Regeneron leaders.
Responsible for coordination with functional RGC-level DEI workstreams and the RGC DEI council (RGC-DEIc) to help execute strategy and tactics.
Provide analytical evaluation of current RGC DEI strategies and initiatives and support the development of innovative DEI programs with clear resources mapping/proposals.
Review and make DEI related recommendations for improvement in existing people strategies, policies and initiatives, including recruitment, compensation, retention and communications.
Working with RGC leadership, translate DEI vision into business strategies, attainable goals and actionable tactics and lead in implementation.
Improve employee engagement in collaboration with the RGC DEI efforts, RGC-DEIc, DEILC, and cross company ERGs & executive sponsors.
Provide DEI & culture leadership consultation and guidance for the RGC Management Team on addressing both challenges and opportunities in DEI as they may occur.
Ensure DEI is centered in the policies developed for RGC remote work culture during the pandemic and the workplace of the future.
In addition, this role will:
Collaborate with all HR COEs (TA, L&D, HR Ops and others), to serve as the DEI expert for the RGC group and the DEI leader representing the function across the enterprise; facilitate exchange of best DEI related practices and ideas across various roles and functions within RGC. This may include assisting to scale up appropriate efforts for optimal department-wide impact
As DEI RGC expert, to coordinate training and provide resources to RGC team as necessary to better understand how DEI can be incorporated into business decisions
Collaborate with the DEI and Communications teams to elevate the understanding of the RGC team on DEI best practices, benchmarking and messaging.
Develop and execute strategic external DEI engagement plan for RGC and identify opportunities and strategies to elevate and lead DEI movement inside and outside RGC, including external engagement plan for turnkey research organizations and the public to clearly communicate and demonstrate the importance of DEI for our organization, in partnership with the CDO’s team.
Facilitate exploration of partnerships with Regeneron Genetics Center in incorporating genetic/ pharmacogenomic research that advances understanding of disease and therapies in genetically diverse data samples within and beyond Regeneron
To be considered for this role you must have:
Bachelors Degree (Required).
Masters or Doctoral-level Degree (e.g. PharmD, PhD, MD) (Preferred)
Experience and deep understanding of DEI philosophy and approach in the life-sciences
Scientific work experience, human genetics experience preferred
Program management experience including team building, plan development, and project execution in a life-sciences setting preferred.
Requires system-wide travel as scheduled and in accordance with business needs.
Demonstrated ability to manage simultaneous priorities to remove obstacles and barriers to success. Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
Demonstrated facilitation and presentation skills.
Excellent interpersonal and engagement skills, including the ability to effectively influence leaders, build relationships, and leverage resources within the function and across the organization to advance business strategies.
Computer-literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience leading and executing diversity and inclusion plans.
The ability to think strategically, synthesize business data and develop innovative and holistic solutions that are forward-thinking and growth oriented.
Strong executive consulting and client relationship skills.

About the Company
We are seeking a DBP to be responsible for the successful implementation and ongoing management of our global DEI strategic framework at the Regeneron Genetics Center (RGC) level. This role reports directly into the Sr Director, DEI with a dotted line to RGC to ensure alignment with global enterprise-wide strategic DEI vision and implementation efforts. 100% of this role will be focused on advancing and delivering against the RGC DEI needs.
